Covid Safety

Covid-19 Health & Safety Information

The Victorian government has set out strict guidelines for all Gym Members and Staff to adhere to without exception. WE ALL must abide by the governments guidelines to be able to continue to stay open for business as Victoria as a State and Workout Zone as a 24/7 gym and also as members who can enjoy working out in a great environment even though the current restrictions may inhibit our perfect training environments (slightly) within the gym environment and also outside the gym in everyday life now.

Workout Zone have put together what we believe falls in line with what our Victorian government requires to keep our members and community safe.

If you feel you cannot comply with the below Covid Safe and Government requirements below for any reasons we completely understand but unfortunately cannot offer you a membership with us as to protect our Members health and mental wellbeing and also Staff and Business from Health or Government breaches.

Do not attend the gym if you’re feeling unwell

If you feel sick. Stay home. Get tested and isolate. Do not come into the gym.

You MUST be double vaccinated

Before your first session back, you must produce your double vaccination certificate to Workout Zone via email or in person to a member of our office staff (not Personal Trainer) during staffed hours so that we may record your certificate on your gym membership file.

If your first and second training sessions within the Workout Zone facility will be outside of staffed hours you must send us your double vaccinated certificate via email to 24hrs prior to entering the facility. (This is to help us comply with the Victorian government regulations)

The Victorian government has made it compulsory for all members to have their double vaccination certificate on their membership file before training in a gym facility. Therefore you may not enter the facility outside of staffed hours unless we already have your vaccination details on file, no exceptions.

You MUST scan in using our new Government QR codes

After you have used your Workout Zone access key or been gained entry from a member of staff. You need to scan yourself in using our new Government QR codes located at the entry foyer near either of the 2 sanitising stations. There is also another QR code on the bag storage unit if you have forgotten when entering and sanitising.

You MUST wear a Face Mask

Your face mask must be on your face from the moment you enter the front door.

You must leave your Face Mask on whilst moving around the gym floor and transitioning from equipment, machines and areas.

You may remove your Face Mask whilst physically exerting yourself whilst performing exercises eg. treadmill, bench press, squats, bicep curl etc.

You Must put back on your Face Mask after completing that exercise before transitioning to your next area, equipment or activity etc.

Adhere to our strict 'no towel, no train' policy

You MUST bring a towel with you. We can not lend them, and you may not share them! You must use it on every piece of equipment you use e.g hang it on the treadmill, put it on the bench, lay it on the rubber mat etc.

Thoroughly wipe down all equipment
Wipe down the equipment with the paper and sanitiser we have provided in several easy to access positions around the gym. All touch points on the equipment used must be sanitised and wiped. This means not only the bench but the bar, dumbbells, attachments etc.
Please be respectful to team members who are enforcing procedures

We hope all our Staff and valued Members can help us and other members feel safe and comfortable without having to be reminded or challenged on the requirements. Please be respectful to each other. Any abuse towards another member of staff member will not be tolerated.

There is no need to book your training time

We have great knowledge of the member numbers and training times. Therefore we will be watching our density levels ( 1 person per 4sqm ) and social distancing for you. If there is a need to reintroduce the booking system from previous lockdowns we will let you know.
